Member Countries: Conference “Bioinformatics Tools and Techniques for Allergy and Infectious Disease Research”, June 7 to 9, 2010, Moscow![]() ![]() ISTC is co sponsoring, in collaboration with the US National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), a joint conference on “Bioinformatics Tools and Techniques for Allergy and Infectious Disease Research” to be held in Moscow, June 7 to 9, 2010. The joint conference will provide a unique opportunity for communication and scientific exchange between the NIAID and research institutions of the Russian Federation and Former Soviet Union countries. The conference will focus on bioinformatics and medical and clinical informatics research topics as they relate to allergy and infectious diseases. The purpose of the conference is to showcase the initiatives of each organization and identify touch points for future scientific collaborations. The conference will consist of a single track with oral and poster presentations and will close with a round table discussion that will enable participants to share their collaborative experiences and identify and discuss mutual areas of interest. The goals of the round table discussion are to foster more effective communications between the NIAID and the conference participants and to provide participants with an opportunity to discuss novel research initiatives and collaborations with the NIAID. You are invited to submit an abstract for review The deadline for abstract submission is Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. (MSK - Moscow Standard Time) *Please note: Once you have submitted an abstract, you will not be able to go back and edit your entry. All abstracts must be in English. There is a 500 word limit. If your abstract exceeds this limit, it will not be reviewed, and you will need to resubmit your abstract. Due to space and resource limitations, the selection for attendance to this meeting will be based on a review of the scientific abstracts submitted by the March 12 deadline. A limited number of abstracts will be selected for oral presentation; other abstracts will be selected for poster presentation. Selected conference participants will be notified by email and invited to register by the first week of April 2010. The organizers will provide for the travel, hotel, and meal expenses for the selected oral and poster presenters.
